Hello everyone! Welcome to guest week...s!!

First up in this line of talented and lovely people who volunteered their time and effort to bring you sweet and funny guest strips is none other than Mari Costa! Mari is the creator of both Peritale (an ongoing fantasy webcomic) and The Well by the House on the Hill (a completed tragedy comic), both are incredibly endearing but I’m gonna put the focus here on Peritale because, guys, you gotta read Peritale.

Peritale is a story that takes place in a bright vibrant world of magic, and follows a fairy named Periwinkle who has *gasp* no magic!!

But what she does have is a set of climbing skills (acquired through practice I’m sure), a family full of loving and supportive siblings, and a whole lot of spunk and grit! Through raw determination Periwinkle drives to become a fairy godmother and complete her first fairytale!

Mari’s work in Peritale is stunning, there’s no two ways of putting it. From beautiful backgrounds to how she choses light and colors in scenes to expressions, character designs, and linework, Mari’s got it going on. Periwinkle is a darling babe, Hydrangea is a hot mysterious babe, every character in this comic is a delight to read one way or another. Not to mention, the unrequited support that Periwinkle’s siblings show her through all her trials and tribulations is so good to see, too. Peritale feels like a fresh fun take on many old fairy tale tropes we’ve come to know and love. If you like magic, humor, and lots of heart, please give Peritale a shot!

Thank you Mari for this beautiful classic college tale of bothering your roommate in the middle of the night with strange question. The tradition lives on. (also Edith’s hair in the first panel makes me so happy omg)
